Azaleas can also make exceptional candidates for containers. Never let these plants dry out but remember the soil should be moist not waterlogged. Water early in the day so the sun can dry leaves when they do get wet.

Air inside our heated homes can be dry. Plant your azaleas in acidic well drained soil in a semi shady location without too much direct sunlight. Deciduous azaleas may be planted in fall but evergreen azaleas in spring at bud stage or after flowering which will be late spring.
